UniCredit International Bank, a Luxembourg-based wealth management subsidiary of Italian financial group UniCredit, has appointed Domenico Santoro as portfolio manager, InvestmentEurope has learned.
Santoro has taken up his new duties in May and is managing discretionary management mandates among others.
He was previously a discretionary investment portfolio manager at UBS Luxembourg he left in April 2018 and where he had a focus on Italian mandates.
Prior to this, Santoro held portfolio management roles at Alfa Asset Management Europe and Banca Generali in Luxembourg. At Banca Generali, he was managing four government bonds funds.
He started his career at Banca Monte dei Paschi SGR in Milan in 2007 before moving to Banca Generali in 2009 as portfolio manager assisant.
UniCredit’s other branch in Luxembourg, UniCredit Luxembourg SA, is due to shut down activities in the country by year-end.
