Quaero Capital, the Geneva-based asset manager, has picked up the Best development in France category at the 2017 Emerging Manager Day, held recently in Paris.
The event draws in some 700 institutional investors, fund selectors, asset managers, fintech startups and wealth managers, as the largest event of its kind in France. Quaero Capital sees France as one of its key markets, particular for its infrastructure strategies.
The company was founded in 2005 as Argos Investment Managers. Currently it offers some 14 funds via two Luxembourg Sicavs – a Ucits and a Sif – as well as investment expertise in infrastructure investment in Europe. It also distributes funds managed by Aubrey Capital Management in Edinburgh and Lloyd George Advisory in Hong Kong.
CEO Jean Keller (pictured) said: “We are very proud of this recognition from our peers, which rewards our long-term commitment to France. The French market is of special importance to us, not only from a business development perspective, but also as a focal point for the growth in our Infrastructure strategy.”
