Mandarine Gestion launches French ESG smid cap fund

French boutique Mandarine Gestion has soft-launched a French small and mid-cap equity fund, Mandarine Entrepreneurs, on 18 December 2017, InvestmentEurope has learned.

The France-domiciled fund is managed by Sébastien Lagarde and had €3.52m of assets under management as of 12 February 2018.

Mandarine Entrepreneurs invests in French small and mid cap companies that conciliate financial performance and positive ESG screening.

Therefore the fund applies an extra-financial filter to seize sustainable development efforts of French small companies and focuses on those with higher growth potential.

At the end of January 2018, the fund held 74 positions. The equity exposure was split as following: large caps (17.42%), mid caps (38.49%), small caps (30.22%) and micro caps (12.58%).

Rubis (3.21%), Eurofins Scientfic (2.83%), Eurazeo (2.63%), Ubisoft (2.60%) and bioMérieux (2.57%) were the top five positions of Mandarine Entrepreneurs.

Established in 2008, Mandarine Gestion has €3bn of assets under management.
