Carmignac appoints global head of Sales

French asset manager Carmignac has promoted Giorgio Ventura (pictured left) to the role of global head of Sales.

He is also a member of the strategic development committee of Carmignac and will retain his role as head of Italy, he holds since 2012.

Previous positions covered by Ventura were with Eurizon Capital, Lehman Brothers, Intesa Group and Caboto Securities where he started his career as trader.

Commenting on the appointment, Eric Helderlé, general manager at Carmignac said: “Giorgio is ideally suited for this strategic role, given his solid experience with clients and his deep understanding of Carmignac’s culture. He will lead our business development on a global level, according to our long-term business model.”

Carmignac has over €55bn in assets under management.
