Janus Henderson appoints new global head of FI

Janus Henderson Investors announced the appointment of Jim Cielinski as global head of Fixed Income. From 1 January, he will be responsible for the further development of Janus Henderson Investors’ fixed income business.
 
Jim Cielinski has more than 30 years of investment experience. He comes from Columbia Threadneedle Investments where he was responsible for the global fixed income sector and headed a team of 165 investment professionals as a global head of Fixed Income. In this role he was responsible for a managed fortune of $190bn.
 
Prior to joining Columbia Threadneedle Investments in 2010, Jim Cielinski spent twelve years as a managing director and head of Credit for Goldman Sachs Asset Management. There, he was responsible for all investment grade portfolios and a wealth of over $200bn invested in core, core plus and hedge fund strategies. In previous positions, he served as head of Fixed Income at Utah Retirement Systems, assistant manager of Taxable Fixed Income at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co and equity portfolio manager at First Security Investment Management.
