French investment firm Lyxor Asset Management has partnered with Sandler Capital Management to launch the Lyxor / Sandler US Equity Fund.

It is a US-focused long/short equity strategy, providing exposure to US equities amid an improving outlook for the US economy, while mitigating the impact of volatile market conditions on client portfolio.

The fund invests in a broad range of US industries and relies on a dynamic long/short approach to identify growing businesses (long positions) and challenged businesses (short positions).

Risks are managed through diversification while the management team monitors macro factors and the continual evaluation of each position.

Established in 1980 and headquartered in New York, Sandler Capital Management is an alternative asset management firm managing both hedge funds and private equity funds.

Andrew Sandler is the lead portfolio manager, supported by an assistant portfolio manager, 8 analysts, and a separate 2 person credit team.

The fund is registered for sale in 9 countries and available on Lyxor’s Alternative Ucits platform. Share classes are in EUR, USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, SEK, NOK but are not all available in all jurisdictions.

Sandler is the tenth fund registered on Lyxor’s $2.6bn Alternative Ucits platform.

As at end-November 2016, Lyxor had €116.4bn of assets under management.
