Julius Baer International, based in London, has appointed Calum Brewster its managing director, head of UK Regional Offices.
Based out of Edinburgh, Brewster will head a team of 20, including relationship managers and wealth planners, and is tasked with building out the business through 2018 in the UK and Ireland. Additional staff are set to join through 2018, the company notes.
Brewster joined the firm at the end of 2017 and sits on the Executive Committee. He will report to David Durlacher, chief executive of Julius Baer International, who said that appointment would facilitate delivery of “an exceptional wealth management offering”.
Previously, Brewster worked for Barclays Wealth & Investment Management, including as managing director for Scotland, Northern Ireland and North of England. Other previous roles have been held at Lloyds Banking Group and Scottish Widows.
