UBS names ex-Fidelity veteran responsible for its wealth management arm

UBS has named Paolo Federici responsible for its wealth management business in Italy.
Federici will take on his new role alongside that of head of wealth, which he has been holding since April.
Succeeding Fabio Innocenzi, who is moving to Banca Carige, Federici will be reporting to Christine Novakovic, head of UBS wealth management EMEA.
Federici joined UBS from Fidelity International where he worked for 12 years holding a wide range of positions, most recently he was head of Northern Europe. Prior to that, he held the role of global head of Product, and formerly, he was head of Southern Europe and LatAm. Before, he worked at the firm as head of sales and Italy’s country head for eight years.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Paolo led the business development effort of Sanpaolo Imi’s wealth management division. He also worked as general director at Epta Consors.
Both Ferruccio Ferri, head of Global Segments and Alberto Martini, head of Growth responsible for UBS business development in Italy will report to Paolo Federici.
