A&G Funds, the asset manager of private banking group A&G, has launched the DIP Spanish Equities fund.

The new fund will be managed by the renowned fund manager Gonzalo Lardiés (pictured), who will actively select Spanish stocks depending on the particularities of each company, developments in different sectors and the economic cycle.

In order to beat the Spanish stock exchange’s Ibex 35 index, the DIP Spanish Equities will have a dynamic and flexible exposure, with the aim to invest in a portfolio of 25-30 Spanish stocks, which may include Portuguese stocks up to a 10% limit of the fund’s assets.

“The fund will adapt at any time to those investment criteria that we consider the best,” Lardiés said.

Diego Fernández, head of Investments at A&G, added: “This product may be suitable for investors of Spanish equities who, without giving up market rises, value a fund’s consistency which prevents from irreparable capital losses.”

For the retail class, the minimum investment is one unit and the management fee will be 1.75% per year.
