Oliver Kelton, who manages the €1.5bn Waverton European Fund, has moved both himself and his fund to Odey Asset Management.
The move increases Odey’s AUM to some €15bn.
At Odey, Kelton will join founder Crispin Odey alongside James Hanbury, Tim Bond and Feras Al Chalabi.
Crispin Odey said: “It is a tribute to Odey that an investor of Ollie’s calibre wants to join us. He will strengthen the debate on Europe at a time when good stock picking will be the difference between profit and loss for clients.”
Odey AM, founded in 1992, has some 110 professionals in offices in London, New York, Geneva and the Channel Isles.
