Roque will be heading the fixed income team, working alongside Álvarez-Borrás and Benito Artiñano. Roque joins Bestinver from Mutuactivos, where he latest was head of Investment and spent all his career, having joined in 1999. In 2005, he was named head of fixed income investment.

Álvarez-Borrás also joins Bestinver from Mutuactivos, where he was head of fixed income and worked since 2009.

Although the firm is focused on equity funds, it also manages (among other strategies) Bestinver Renta Fund – a €146m fixed income strategy focused on short term debt – and Bestinver Mixto Internacional – with €134m in AUM, and investing 75% in global equity and the remaining part in fixed income.

Bestinver manages up to €6bn in assets from more than 46,000 clients.
