Macquarie appoints head of German Wholesale Distribution
Macquarie Investment Management (MIM) has appointed Markus Rottler as head of Distribution for the German professional buyer market.
Based in Munich, Rottler brings more than 12 years of asset management experience to his new role.
Prior to joining Macquarie, Rottler spent five years at Columbia Threadneedle, focusing on both the professional buyer and institutional client segments. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Pioneer Investments in various portfolio management and client facing roles.
“Markus is a very welcome addition to our German distribution team. The German professional buyers market is not an area that we have historically covered, so we are very pleased to have someone with Markus’ experience in the market to launch our efforts in this key market segment,” said Steve Haswell, head of Distribution for MIM EMEA.
