Fidelity has announced Bertrand Puiffe (pictured) will take over Vincent Durel’s duties as portfolio manager of the FF France Fund as from 1 September 2017.
In a letter to the investors of its French equity strategy, the manager said it wants them to benefit from Puiffe’s contrarian, highly convicted and unconstrained management style, the firm termed “adapted” to the country fund, as well as from its in-depth expertise on French stocks.
Also Fidelity said that Durel focuses on bolstering the firm’s European equity institutional management process with the integration of ESG criteria.
Durel was appointed as lead portfolio manager of the Fidelity Institutional Europe ex-UK Sicav on 1 August 2017 and manages some €705m of assets spread across various European equity institutional funds.
Puiffe manages the FF Nordic Fund ($706m AUM as of end July 2017) since August 2011. In addition, he runs a pilot fund that is invested in French equities since April 2016.
Puiffe joined Fidelity in 2006 as French equity analyst focused on small and mid-caps. Prior to that, he worked six years at Rothschild & Cie Gestion as pan-European equity analyst with a focus on tech, telecoms, defence and aeronautics.
