Portugal’s largest listed bank Millennium BCP has hired Duarte Francisco as its new equities fund selector.
Francisco, who replaces Rita Appleton, will select and monitor Millennium BCP’s list of funds used by its discretionary portfolios and private banking clients, as well as its retail internet customers, Ines Correia Oliveira, head of Fund Selection at Millenium BCP told InvestmentEurope.
Having worked for more than ten years in Caixagest, Francisco was fund selector at the bank’s investment solutions department before he left in May this year.
For over three years, Francisco’s responsibilities at Caixagest involved the selection of funds and ETFs for the equity, bonds and money markets.
Francisco also worked at the bank’s investment solutions department as portfolio manager for about three years, monitoring investment funds and structured products for Caixagest and CGD Pensões.
Previously, Francisco worked as analyst at Caixagest’s business and innovation department.
