ZEW president Fuest to replace Sinn at ifo Institute
Clemens Fuest (pictured), currently head of German research centre ZEW Institute is set to replace Hans-Werner Sinn as president of the Munich-based ifo Institute as of April 2016.
Sinn, who has been ranked as one of the most powerful people in Germany according to British paper The Independent and the Financial Times Deutschland, will retire by the end of March 2016.
The position of ifo president is connected to the role of professor in Economics Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, which will also be taken over by Fuest.
