Andbank Spain has appointed Carlos Martínez de Campos as chairman of its executive board, to be made effective in December.
He will be succeeding Daniel García-Pita, who has been now appointed as president of Andbank Spain’s advisory board.
The executive board that Martínez de Campos will be chairing, will remain formed by independent advisers including Javier Gómez-Acebo, Fernando Herrero, Eduardo Muela and Jaume Aubia.
Martínez de Campos (pictured) joins Andbank from Caixabank, where he has been working as president of Caixabank’s advisory board for the three past years. Prior to that, he led Barclays Bank’s launch into the Spanish market, from which he was president during 30 years. At Barclays, he held a wide range of corporate positions. He held the post of president at Barclays France. He was also responsible for the global office network of private and commercial banking worldwide, while he came to be a member of the company’s executive committee in London.
Among his numerous roles, he also worked as an adviser at the German private banking Merck Finck & Co.
