F&C Investments has announced the expansion of its European equities fund range with the launch of the F&C European Small Cap ex UK fund.
The fund is an ex-UK onshore OEIC version of an existing F&C European Small Cap Sicav, the company said.
Sam Cosh will manage the fund which will invest in the smallest 25% of companies by market capitalisation and will have the Euromoney Smaller European Companies ex. UK.
The fund aims to achieve long-term capital growth through investment in small and medium sized companies in continental Europe and will invest in no more than 40-60 stocks.
The annual management charge was set at 0.75% in the clean share class, including also a founders’ share class offering preferential terms.
“It was clear from our ongoing conversations with clients that there is an appetite from UK investors for European small caps. The fund […] will use a proven strategy, providing clients with a product that has the potential to prosper regardless of the economic environment because o fits successful stock-picking strategy,” said Rob Thorpe, head of UK Sales.
