Aegon Asset Management appoints US business CIO
Aegon Asset Management has appointed Kirk Buese as chief investment officer of its US investment management branch, Aegon USA Investment Management.
In his new role, Buese will focus on leading the subsidiary’s public and private fixed income, asset allocation, derivatives and hedging investment teams, and further developing its investment capabilities.
Buese has over 25 years’ experience in fixed income, equity and derivatives investment management. He worked as global head of Illiquid Investments at Aegon Asset Management and sits on the steering committee for the firm’s global macroeconomic and asset allocation strategies.
Prior to joining Aegon, Buese was director of Private Placements and Public Bond Credit Research at Providian.
Aegon Asset Management manages approximately €346bn in assets.
