Lugano-based Banca del Ceresio has added two members to its management team.
Gabriele Corte has been appointed as general manager of the group’s commercial team. Joining Banca del Ceresio from BSI SA Group, where he worked as general co-director responsible for Italy during four years. Prior to that, Corte worked as the European manager of Lombard Odier & Cie, and previously at UBS responsible for institutional clients from Zurich.
Alessandro Santini, appointed as head of the new corporate advisory, will be based in Milan at Ceresio Sim – the group’s Italian division. Prior to joining Banca del Ceresio, Santini was Bsi Merchant CEO since 2012, and formerly, he worked at Ferragamo group.
According to local paper Milano Finanza, the Foglia family (owner of Banca del Ceresio) underlined that both appointments were representing the beginning of the company’s strategic growth plans aimed at providing services to entrepeneurs, companies, private equity, and club deals.
