Swiss business development firm Polaris Advisory AG has appointed Hanspeter Bader, Baldomero Falcones, Thomas Friese and Matthias Knap as members of its advisory board.
Hanspeter Bader joins from Unigestion, where he spent 17 years, most recently as head of Private Equity and Private Assets.
Thomas Friese joins from Nokia Group, where he worked as head of Global Pensions, prior to that, he spent 26 years at Siemens Group in charge of infrastructure projects ans investments.
Matthias Knab is founder and managing director of Opalesque, a global news and research portal for alternative investments.
Baldomero Falcones has worked as a member of the Management Executive Committee of Banco Santander and as chairman of MasterCard International, he is also a co-founded Magnum Industrial Partners, Spain’s biggest private equity fund.
According to Polaris, the advisory board will play key role in supporting the further development of its investment strategies and the asset manager selection process at POLARIS. Another focus of its work will be to tap new customer segments as part of a European expansion strategy and to provide advice to POLARIS’ existing customer groups.
