Pimco has appointed Joshua Anderson (pictured), a managing director and portfolio manager, to lead the firm’s European Structured Product Group in London.
Anderson has been based in Pimco’s Newport Beach office since joining the firm in 2003 and will continue to oversee Pimco’s global structured credit investments.
In addition, Pimco has hired Adam Doran, Shrey Shah, Steffen Kluners, Rudiger Holfeld and Véronique Ménard to join its real estate team as part of the continued expansion of the firm’s Alternatives investing platform, globally.
Kluners and Doran, who are portfolio managers, and Holfeld and Ménard, who are structuring and finance experts, have all started at Pimco in their new roles. Shah, also a portfolio manager, will join later this month.
“Josh is a Pimco veteran with deep expertise in global structured credit investments, and his relocation to London will enhance our ability to provide investment opportunities for our clients in what is an exciting time for this space globally, but particularly in Europe,” said Daniel Ivascyn, managing director, Pimco Deputy Chief Investment Officer and head of mortgage and real estate portfolio management.
“Adam, Shrey, Steffen, Rudiger and Véronique are valuable hires for our real estate team in Europe which now totals 21 personnel,” added Ivascyn.
Globally, Pimco’s alternatives offerings span a range of strategies with more than 100 investment professionals overseeing hedge fund and opportunistic/distressed strategies, including global macro, credit relative value, multi-asset volatility, and distressed mortgage, real estate and corporate credit opportunities.
