Bankinter's pledge to keep boosting SMEs

Spanish banking group Bankinter invested €10.8bn in Spanish SMEs last year, representing 8% YoY increase in its financial support to the business world.
The bank received more than 17,000 client companies last year, increasing the figure by 6.6% compared to 2016. Overall, Bankinter has contributed to boost more than 91,000 SMEs through various financial solutions.
Bankinter launched in 2017 the loan for payment of taxes service, which enabled companies to request and obtain that loan through the Bankinter website. The company also provided corporate banking clients the option to request advance payment for VAT payment as part of its offering of digital solutions.
The bank also launched an app for companies that enabled their administrators to sign documents remotely, thus saving costs and time to the users of the app.
“Providing financial support to companies with solvent projects is not only a business priority for us, but also a commitment with the Spanish economy as it contributes to strengthen it,” Bankinter said.
