Kames Capital has appointed David Ennett from Standard Life Investments (SLI) to head its High Yield team.
Reporting to David Roberts, head of fixed income at Kames, Ennet will join the group in September 2016 as head of Kames’high yield team and will also be co-manager of the Kames High Yield Bond and the Kames High Yield Global Bond Funds alongside current co-manager Phil Milburn who will be returning to Kames in Q3 2016.
At SLI, Ennet was head of European High Yield and manager of the SLI Higher Income and European High Yield Funds. In the interim David Roberts will be responsible for Kames’ high yield funds supported by Stephen Baines. Current co-manager Claire McGuckin has left the business.
Roberts comments on the appointment: “David is very experienced in the high yield market and we believe his investment philosophy is very much in line with that of Kames Capital. He will be an excellent fit for the business and both Phil and I are looking forward to working with him on his arrival.”
