Paris-headquartered third-party fund marketer Investeam has opened its fourth foreign office in London.
Previously, the firm established presence in Canada, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Investeam said that despite Brexit, London remains a key place for the financial industry and that Investeam UK will be an edge for asset managers that wish to reach Britain’s professional investors.
The UK office will be led by Thierry Sebton, who has 30 years of experience in structured finance, and will tally four sales persons.
Didier Jug, CEO of Investeam, said: “We have strong will to expand ourselves internationally and that makes us standing out in the business of third-party marketers. Today, we establish presence in the UK to provide French asset managers with an access to the main European investment market. The opening of Investeam UK will aim to build long-term relationships with local institutional investors.”
Thierry Sebton, CEO of Investeam UK, added: “A number of French funds, despite performing well, have not yet entered Britain’s market where assets under management reach around £7trn. We are convinced that the managers we will have mandates for in this market will earn local investors’ trust.”
Investeam was launched in 2004.
