French asset manager Sycomore AM has appointed Jean-Guillaume Peladan as director of Energy Transition and Ecology strategy.
Formerly, Peladan worked as head of Green Innovation Funding at Ademe (Agence De l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie), the French environment and energy management agency.
In four years, the program led by Peladan has provided financial support to over 180 green innovative projects and 500 companies through a €3.3bn fund.
Prior to that, he held positions at Boston Consulting Group and Suez Environnement.
With the appointment of Peladan, Sycomore AM strengthens its socially responsible investment focus.
The firm will soon be launching an equity fund invested in companies that contribute significantly to the energy transition.
Peladan said : “I decided to join the Sycomore AM teams because we share the same values and the conviction that a company’s sustainability does not only depend on financial criteria. An eco-efficient business model increasingly gives a company a strong competitive edge.”
Sycomore AM has €3bn of assets under management.
