Nikko AM appoints global equity investment director

Jeremy Hall has been appointed investment director – Global Equity at Nikko Asset Management in its Global Equity team based in Edinburgh.

Hall previously worked as partner and investment manager at Cartesian Capital Partners LLP, responsible for UK equity long only and long/short strategies.

He has some 17 years of investment experience overall, and is a chartered financial analyst and chartered accountant.

William Low, head of Global Equity at Nikko AM, said: “He has a long track record of undertaking research and picking stocks within high conviction equity portfolios. His investment style is highly aligned with the team’s focus on Future Quality firms.”

Nikko AM’s Edinburgh-based Global Equity team manages high conviction and benchmark-unconstrained global equity long-only portfolios. The six portfolio managers have an average of 20 years’ experience, the manager notes.
