Italy’s Widiba, the online banking service of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS), has hired 19 personal advisers since the beginning of 2016.
The bank, which was launched as part of a revamping plan for the struggling MPS, has reached total AUM of €7bn.
The team led by Massimo Giacomelli (pictured) has added Carmelo Simone from BNL; Maurizio Nicosia, who joins the Sicily area manager to boost the bank’s presence in South of Italy.
Marina De Luca and Giovanni Sabatini also join the Naples teams led by Fabrizio Sorrentino and Fernando Valletta with the same aim as Nicosia’s.
Further southern appointments include Carmello Minniti from Banca Mediolanum who joins Francesco Candelieri’s team in Reggio Calabria.
