AllianceBernstein strengthens sales team

AllianceBernstein (AB) has expanded its sales team in the area of ​​mutual funds and in the institutional segment. Markus Novak holds the position director of Wholesale with immediate effect. Siegfried Volkmar will be director of Institutional Sales and Consultant Relations for the company.

With the expansion of its staff, AB is systematically continuing its growth course in the German market. Both employees are experts in their respective fields and have many years of experience in the financial industry.

Markus Novak’s new role for AllianceBernstein will focus primarily on the business of financial brokerage pools and maintaining contacts with independent financial advisors and private asset managers in Germany. He reports to Martin Dilg, head of Retail/Wholesale Business, Central & Eastern Europe.

Novak comes from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he held the position of investment director. His previous professional posts include J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Skandia Life Insurance and Aspecta Assurance International Luxembourg. Overall, Novak has been active in the financial industry for 30 years.

Siegfried Volkmar is an expert in the field of institutional clients. For AllianceBernstein, he will henceforth focus on insurance companies in Germany and Austria. He reports to Philipp Lehner, head of Institutional Business, Central Europe.

Volkmar joins from Natixis, where he was head of Institutional Sales, Germany, Switzerland & Austria. Previously, he worked for AXA Investment Managers as director sales and for Swiss Life Asset Management as sales manager. He brings around 25 years of experience in the financial industry, with the institutional business accounting for the last 15 years.
