Bodo Hollung sets up company & plans logistics fund

Bodo Hollung (pictured) has set up the investment house LIP Invest, based in Munich. LIP Invest offers investment solutions tailored to the specific needs of institutional players. The company’s first investment fund is already in the planning stage. For Hollung, it will be the third logistics real estate fund initiated within a three year period, and like the other two products, it is to be launched and managed by the platform of the IntReal third-Party AIFM.

Hollung has collaborated with a proven team to set up LIP Invest. One of the team members is Sebastian Betz as head of Acquisition and Asset Management. Hollung and Betz already worked together at RLI Investors with great success, turning the entity into one of the most active investors in German logistics real estate in 2016. The team of now seven professionals, which serves the entire German logistics market from its head office in Munich, also includes an experienced fund manager and logistics expert. This October, LIP Invest will move into its new offices directly at Viktualienmarkt in downtown Munich, which extend over 300 square metres and thus provide sufficient floor area to accommodate future growth.

Prior to its founding, Hollung was managing director of RLI Investors, formerly Realogis Real Estate. From September 2011 to March 2013 he worked as a European fund manager at Wealthcap. From November 2007 to August 2011, he was responsible for Garbe Logistic’s fund and asset management. Since 2011 he has also been teaching at the IREBS Real Estate Academy.
