BNPP AM names head of Structured Finance

Paris-headquartered BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed Michel Fryszman (pictured) as head of Structured Finance within its €7.7bn AUM private debt and real assets investment group.

Having joined on 15 January and based in Paris, he reports to Laurent Gueunier, head of Real Assets, SME Lending & Structured Finance.

Fryszman oversees the firm’s five-strong structured finance unit which set and implement European private securitisation funds – €1bn in assets are managed by BNPP AM in securitisation funds – and speciality finance assets (consumer loans, residential mortgage loans and trade finance loans).

BNPP AM’s private debt and real assets investment group manages more than EUR 1 billion in European securitisation funds.

Fryszman joined from AXA Investment Managers where he had worked since 2005, first as an ABS portfolio manager before being appointed head of ABS Investments in 2008 then head of Mortgages & Specialty Finance in 2014.  Previous securitisation-focused roles were with Groupe GTI, Crédit Foncier and the World Bank.

BNPP AM managed and advised €571bn in assets as of 30 September 2017.
