Universal Investment strengthens institutional sales

Universal Investment has strengthened institutional sales with the appointment of Jan Ferdinand as director sales institutional investors.

Ferdinand will be responsible for marketing the extensive range of services from quantitative portfolio management solutions to alternative investments with institutional investors such as pension funds or insurance companies.

He joined Universal Investment from State Street Bank, where he has held leading international distribution positions for institutional investors since 2003. At State Street, Ferdinand worked not only in Frankfurt am Main, but also for two years as head of sales Switzerland in Zurich. From 1997 to 2002, he worked from Hamburg at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt as product expert global custody and sales & relationship management.

Universal Investment manages about €253bn for institutional investors.
