Paris-based boutique Ellipsis AM has appointed Damien Vermonet as head of its convertible bonds management division, whose assets under management reached €1.3bn in convertible bonds at end-September 2016.
With over 11 years’ experience in the convertible bonds asset class, Vermonet tallies over 11 years’ experience in the convertibles asset class.
He began his career as an analyst in 2005, then built portfolios at Fortis IM’s convertible bonds desk.
Vermonet then worked as convertible bond portfolio manager at Acropole AM for five years.
He moved to Schroders after Acropole was purchased by Financière de l’Echiquier, where he co-managed European and global convertible bond funds.
Vermonet works alongside two other convertible bond portfolio managers Claude-Martin Camin and Sébastien Caron.
