NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank has appointed Christian Lips as new chief economist. Lips succeeds Torsten Windels, who leaves NORD/LB at his own request after more than ten years as chief economist, in which he competently advised both clients and the bank itself.
He has been working in the research/economics department of NORD/LB since 2008 and has since then prepared economic, interest rate and currency forecasts for the bank.
Lips studied economics at Leibniz University in Hanover and completed his studies with a thesis on the economic impact of banking regulation. Previously, he has completed training as a banker. Lips is a lecturer for the topic “Financial Markets and Financial Supervision” at the Hochschule Ostfalia in Wolfenbüttel.
