Alessandro Decio (pictured) will replace Don Koch as CEO of ING Bank Italia starting from March.
Koch will move to ING Asia, the company said in a statement. His new role is set to be announced soon.
Decio joins ING after 15 years experience in the UniCredit group where he covered a number of roles throughout countries until he was appointed Chief Risk Officer, as well as member of the CEO Office and Executive Management Committee.
He will report to Aris Bogdaneris, head of Challengers & Growth Markets in Amsterdam.
Prior to being appointed Chief Risk Officer, Decio had been global head Retail since 2010 and had led the bank’s operations in Croatia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
He also sits on both UniCredit and Mediobanca’s boards.
