Paris-based boutique Tocqueville Finance has appointed Yann Giordmaïna as fund and mandate manager.
He is generating ideas and bolsters the value equity expertise of the firm, whose majority shareholder is La Banque Postale Asset Management.
Giordmaïna joined Tocqueville Finance on 5 March 2018 from Métropole Gestion where he spent 14 years as European and global equity portfolio manager.
Prior to that, he was head of Japan, Asia Pacific within the global equity team of Natexis Asset Management. Giordmaïna started his career at Crédit Agricole Asset Management (now Amundi) in 1998 as assistant portfolio manager before being appointed global equity fund manager.
Last February, Tocqueville Finance also hired Stéphane Nières‐Tavernier as portfolio manager for a number of funds including the Tocqueville Megatrends fund and the firm’s growth equity strategies.
The boutique had €2.2bn of assets under management as of end 2017.
