Sweden’s main fund industry trade body, the Swedish Investment Fund Association, has announced two new members following its latest board meeting.
Spiltan fonder and Strand Kapitalförvaltning have joined, taking the number of member companies to 48, representing some 90% of fund investments, with an additional 14 associate member companies.
Spiltan fonder offers actively managed equity funds, ‘smart’ index funds and fixed interest funds. Its chief exeuctive Erik Brändström noted that the Association fulfills an important role at at time of ever increasingly regulatory complexity.
Strand Kapitalförvaltning is focused on the Swedish market and offers both discretionary management as well as two own funds. Marie Anckarman, chief executive, also noted the increasing regulatory complexity as a reason to join, as well as the idea that membership in and of itself acts as a mark of quality.
