Boston-based investment firm Boston Partners has opened an office in London.
Joshua Jones, portfolio manager on Boston Partners’ global and international products, will head the investment team operating out of the London office, while William Pawson, a senior product specialist, will oversee distribution.
The opening of an office in London aims to provide closer access for clients of Boston Partners located in Europe and closer proximity to European companies for Jones.
Boston Partners has $14bn (€12.8bn) in sub-advised Ucits assets under management, as well as $2.2bn (€2.01bn) in separately managed accounts across nine Europe-based institutional clients.
“We’re pleased to announce the official opening of our London office,” said Jones.
“As clients seek better visibility to understand Boston Partners’ investment edge, our proximity to key European markets will help clients recognise the value of the firm’s tested, ‘three-circle’ approach to active management.”
Boston Partners applies a bottom-up analysis of valuation, fundamental quality and business momentum, in conjunction with a robust and proprietary quantitative screening process across the entire universe of global equities, to build a diversified portfolio.
Its product range includes value equity, long/short equity, global and international equity, global long/short, small and micro cap equity, and volatility harvesting strategies.
Launched in 1995, Boston Partners managed $90.6bn (€83bn) as of 31 March 2017.
