La Française Investment Solutions, the alternative investment arm of French asset management group La Française, has appointed Christian Naumovic as senior quantitative analyst within the LFIS Quantitative Research and Development team.
The firm said that an additional hire is planned in the coming months, which will bring the team to five professionals.
Naumovic’s appointment aims at enabling the firm to enhance its quantitative screening, portfolio construction and portfolio optimisation models.
His work will support LFIS’ range of alternative and dedicated funds, including flagship credit and premia strategies.
Naumovic will be based in Paris and report to LFIS’ head of Quantitative Research and Development Guillaume Garchery.
Naumovic has been most recently a quantitative analyst at Thomson Reuters and previously at Deutsche Bank and Natixis Asset Management.
Commenting the hire, Sofiene Haj-Taieb, chief investment officer of LFIS said: “A quantitative approach is an essential part of our DNA at LFIS. We are market neutral, screening and analyzing the range of instruments and asset classes to find authentic opportunities to secure absolute returns.
“Our investment and risk management processes are similarly quantitatively-driven, offering our clients a consistent and repeatable roadmap for performance. Christian’s hire significantly strengthens our capacity to provide specialist quantitative capabilities across all areas of our business as we continue our expansion.”
LFIS has currently $6.4bn (€5.69bn) of assets under management.
