Daniel Dax, general manager at LuxFLAG, the Luxembourg based non-profit organisation developed to support sustainable investments, will deliver the keynote introduction to InvestmentEurope’s Professional Investor Forum in Amsterdam on 8 October.
LuxFLAG promotes sustainable investments by providing labelling of microfinance and environment funds. The labels are only awarded following a process of application by the funds themselves, which are vetted by an eligibility committee, which includes external experts in areas such as microfinance. Recommendations to award labels are passed to the LuxFLAG board, which acts on the recommendations.
Daniel Dax has been general manager at LuxFLAG since September 2007. However, he has extensive knowledge of investment services and of the Luxembourg fund industry, especially in legal matters from his previous work experience first as a legal director at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and then director for Legal and Tax department at the Association of Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI).
Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Strasbourg and completed an Advance Management Program from INSEAD, France. He is fluent in Luxembourgish, French, English and German.
