Societe Generale reshuffles its global markets division

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking has announced a new organisation and related appointments within its Global Markets division led by Daniel Fields, with David Escoffier as deputy, effective as of 18 May.

Three principles are driving this new organisation, say the firm : “further aligning the organisation with that of its clients, facilitating access to the full engineering capacities of the bank and ensuring seamless continuum across all asset classes.”

The bank has then announced the appointment of Richard Quessette as head of the newly created Equities and Derivatives business line, with Bruno Benoit as deputy. Danielle Sindzingre heads a broadened Fixed Income & Currencies business line.

Chris Topple and Christophe Lattuada have been appointed as co-heads of Prime Services activities whilst Jerome Jacques and Hatem Mustapha have been named co-heads of a new Asset Backed Products business line, created jointly with the Global Finance division.

Societe Generale has appointed Peter McGahan and Yann Garnier as respectively deputy head of Global Markets in the Americas and deputy head of Global Markets in Asia Pacific.

Jonathan Whitehead remains head of Commodities Markets activities, François Barthelemy, head of Global Markets in the Americas and Franck Drouet, head of Global Markets in Asia Pacific.

David Escoffier will be in charge of supervising the sales teams whilst Marc Saffon has been appointed head of Engineering.

Jean-François Gregoire remains head of Trading with Arie Boleslawski and Guillaume Buathier as deputies. Patrick Legland remains head of Global Research.

In addition, Laure Lemaignen will replace Christophe Lattuada as head of Strategy & Corporate Development for Global Banking & Investor Solutions.
