French asset management giant Amundi has appointed David Harte as Ireland chief executive following the departure of previous Irish chief.
Harte joins Amundi from Pioneer Investments where he worked for 15 years most recently as the firm’s chief operations officer.
Harte, who is also deputy head of Amundi’s operations, services and technology division, is succeeding Robert Richardson, who left the company earlier this summer having held the post of Amundi’s head of Ireland.
To be reporting to Guillaume Lesage, Harte is also a member of Amundi’s executive committee. He previously worked as the chief operating officer of Bear Sterns Bank’s Irish subsidiary based in Dublin.
Amundi gained €220bn with the acquisition of Pioneer Investments in 2017 totalling now €1.47trn in assets under management as of the end of June 2018. The company’s net inflows over the first half of the year amounts to €42.4bn.
