Paris-headquartered asset manager Comgest has appointed Jimmy Chen (pictured) as Asian equities analyst, focusing on the Chinese stock market.
Within the firm’s 12-strong Asia Pacific ex Japan investment team, Chen will be responsible for research and analysis of companies that offer long-term investment opportunities in the region.
Based in Hong Kong, he will work alongside lead portfolio manager David Raper, head of the Asian research team, Baijing Yu and Jasmine Kang, analyst and portfolio managers dedicated to the firm’s Greater China strategy.
Prior to joining Comgest, Chen worked for Sanford C. Bernstein as a senior research associate where he focused on Asian regional telecoms.
He also spent five years as a consultant with Bain & Company in Australia and China.
