BB African Opportunities
The fund invests in listed companies operating out of the emerging markets of Africa. These are mainly countries in northern Africa and the Sub-Sahara benefiting from structural change, economic reform, infrastructure investment and natural resources.
The focus is on profitable large and mid-cap companies. Managers construct a portfolio containing 50 to 70 stocks using a bottom-up and top-down approach.
BB Entrepreneur Europe
The fund invests in listed owner-managed companies in Europe where an entrepreneur or a founder family holds at least a 20% of a company’s voting rights. The companies must have a focused business model, fast decision-making processes, sustainable policies and a strong corporate culture.
The fund pursues a bottom-up approach in identifying the most attractive founder-controlled companies, while maintaining a portfolio of 30 to 40 stocks diversified by country and sub-sector.
The fund invests worldwide in companies active in the biotechnology sector, focusing on profitable mid- and large-cap companies with an established product portfolio.
Stock selection is based on fundamental analysis. The portfolio is entirely bottom-up, independent of benchmark weightings.
