Aviva
Aviva’s Mark Wilson has quit as chief executive after Britain’s biggest insurance company decided it was time for new leadership. He will get walk away with a pay and benefits package of up to £6.5m.
Aviva’s non-executive chairman, Sir Adrian Montague, will step up to an executive role and run the company until a replacement is found. The group said it hoped to recruit someone within the next four months.
Standard Life Aberdeen
Former HSBC chairman Douglas Flint is in the running to replace Gerry Grimstone as the new chairman of Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA).
Grimstone, who has been at SLA for 11 years, said he was step down from his position in February this year when the asset manager announced it was selling its insurance division to Phoenix. He is set to leave SLA in 2019.
LGIM
Legal & General Investment Management has promoted from within its ranks to replace departing CFO Siobhan Boylan.
The asset manager announced on Monday that Richard Lee, group performance director for parent company Legal & General, would be taking up Boylan’s post when she leaves to become Brewin Dolphin’s finance director in early 2019.
Henderson Eurotrust
Tim Stevenson, the longest-serving Europe investment trust manager, will retire from Henderson Eurotrust (HNE ) next year when he will have run the closed-end fund for 26 years.
Stevenson, who has managed the now £231m trust since 1992, will be succeeded by James Ross, who has worked with Stevenson on HNE for two years and is co-manager of the €1.5bn Janus Henderson Horizon Pan European Equity fund.

Highvern has expanded its funds team with the appointment of an ICSA-qualified professional with over 14 years’ experience as senior manager.
In her new role, Julie Gallon will be responsible for delivering quality service to the firm’s clients and training the next generation of staff.
Investec AM
Investec Asset Management has created a London wealth team to manage its relationships with London-based and national wealth managers, as well as private banks.
The team will be headed up by Roger Kennedy, currently a sales director at Investec AM who has been promoted to head of London wealth. The firm has poached Alasdair Prescott from Aviva Investors, where he was head of London wholesale sales.
Allianz Global Investors
Allianz Global Investors has hired Stephanie Carbonneil as head of investment trusts, following the departure of Melissa Gallagher in July, Investment Week can reveal.
In her new role, Carbonneil will focus on the continued growth and development of the company’s investment trust business, which is currently responsible for three closed-ended funds.
Puente
Puente has hired two wealth managers to join its team in Uruguay and added an investment analyst to its research and advisory unit.
Miguel Verdías and Diego Mussio joined the Uruguay-based financial services firm’s wealth management team this month and have more than 20 years industry experience apiece.
