Old Mutual International managing director Peter Kenny has been promoted to chief executive of the life insurer as Quilter makes a series of changes aimed at preparing the business “for the next phase of its corporate journey”.
Martin Baines will step down as the chief executive of Quilter Cheviot, staying on throughout 2019 as a senior adviser. Andy McGlone, currently managing director of Quilter Cheviot, will succeed Martin as CEO of Quilter Cheviot and join the Quilter executive committee.
Karin Cook will join as COO on 2nd January 2019. She spent five years at Lloyds Banking Group, where she undertook roles that included chief operating officer of Commercial Banking and, more recently, group director of operations, on the group executive committee. She takes over from Steve Braudo, the current COO, who will leave the organisation on 5th October.
Peter Kenny (pictured above) becomes CEO of Old Mutual International and a member of the executive committee. He has been managing director of OMI since joining the business in August 2016.
In addition to this, two new executive committee roles have been created: Michelle Andrews joins the executive committee as chief marketing officer and Jane Goodland has been promoted to the role of corporate affairs director and a member of the executive committee.
All new appointments will report to Paul Feeney, CEO of Quilter.
Quilter has announced the changes to its executive committee following its listing on the London and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges on June 2018.
