Seasoned banking executive Ajay Mathur, pictured left, takes up the role straight away and will be answering to DBS’ Hong Kong head Sebastian Paredes.
Mathur succeeds Royce Teo, who is returning to Singapore, DBS confirmed in a statement.
Before joining DBS, Mathur was deputy CEO of ANZ’s retail and private banking operation in Indonesia.
He started his banking career with Bank of America, later moving to ABN Amro in India.
In 2008, he joined Royal Bank of Scotland in Singapore as head of retail and wealth, and subsequently ANZ in 2011 with the Australian bank’s acquisition of RBS’ retail and wealth business.
Allianz Partners has announced the appointment of Paula Covey as chief marketing officer for health, a position that Covey actually took up on 1 September.
The role is a “dual one”, said the company, responsible for marketing Allianz Partners’ international health business under the Allianz Care brand, as well as helping to achieve the group’s ambitious plans to grow health activities and services across all of its lines of business.
Covey, pictured left, who is based in Dublin, has joined the global executive committee of the international health division, reporting directly to CEO Ida Luka-Lognoné, and working closely with Matthias Wünsche, director of global market management and innovation at Allianz Partners.
Covey has has held a series of senior and director level global roles within marketing, market development, product development and operations throughout her career.
Prior to this role, Covey was with Allianz Global Life & Health where she was head of global health. She brings with her over 30 years of experience in healthcare, 20 of which were in international health.
