Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva has launched a new global equity fund as part of its Luxembourg domiciled SICAV range of funds
The Aviva Investors Global Equity Endurance Fund is a high-conviction, low turnover, portfolio of global equities that aims to deliver consistent returns over the long-term. The fund is managed by Giles Parkinson, with support from Richard Saldanha and Helen Driver in the firms’ global equities team, Aviva said in a statement announcing the launch.
Parkinson said that the fund will invest in a small number of superior and resilient companies that have stood the test of time and that he is convinced will will continue to do so “indefinitely”.
“Given the long-term and enduring nature of these businesses, we cite the fund’s investment horizon as ‘over five years.’,” he said. “However, we manage this strategy such that clients can hold the fund indefinitely. The portfolio is unconstrained, allowing us to invest without restriction; choosing the very best businesses regardless of sector classification or geographic listing.”
The fund is a Luxembourg domiciled SICAV, which has as its base currency the US dollar. Initial share classes will be A US dollar (retail: 1.50% AMC); I US dollar (institutional: 0.75% AMC).
