Rathbones has appointed Richard Briggs as an equity analyst and Stuart Chilvers as a fixed income analyst to its research team. Both will be based in London.
Briggs reports to Sanjiv Tumkur, head of equity research. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, Briggs joins from Fidelity International, where he was an analyst with responsibility for pan-European coverage. He has previously worked for Meditor Capital Management and Henderson Investors, with a secondment to the Australian equity team at AMP Asset Management.
Stuart Chilvers reports to Bryn Jones, head of fixed income. Chilvers role is to support the fixed income research coverage for the group. Prior to joining Rathbones, he was a client associate at Brown Shipley, supporting clients’ fixed income allocation. He also helped to develop the company’s corporate social responsibility policy, Rathbones said.
Intertrust Group, the Amsterdam-based professional services and trust provider, has promoted Jan Willem van Drimmelen to the newly-created role of global head of corporate clients.
In his new role, van Drimmelen, who had been global head of sales at Intertrust since 2013, will be responsible for developing the strategy for the company’s corporate clients service area, Intertrust said in a statement announcing his appointment. Based in Amsterdam, he will continue to report to H P van Asselt, chief commercial officer at Intertrust.
Prior to joining Intertrust ten years ago, van Drimmelen had worked as a tax lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, both in London and in Amsterdam.
Tilney, the London-based asset management group, has appointed Andrew Tompson as business development manager for the London/Southeast England region.
Tompson comes to Tilney from Turpin Barker Armstrong, where he was a qualified independent financial adviser, in addition to handling business development for the Sutton, England-based accountancy, insolvency and financial services firm.
At Tilney, Tompson will support the company’s professional referrer network of IFAs, lawyers and accountants of the Tilney for Professionals business, as well as working with the trustee community, US professionals and investment consultants.
