The Association of International Life Offices (AILO) has announced the recipient of the 2016 James Ball Memorial Award at its annual general meeting.

This year’s recipient was Rachael Griffin (pictured below), head of trusts and technical solutions for Old Mutual Wealth, which includes Old Mutual International, the AILO said in a statement.

The James Ball Memorial Award was instigated by AILO in memory of James Ball, a founder of the international industry and AILO, who died suddenly in May 2005.

This annual award is made to the individual who has, in the opinion of AILO’s Members, made a significant contribution to the international and cross-border life industry.

Announcing the award, Alan Morgan-Moodie, chief executive of AILO, said: “AILO’s annual award is given in recognition of the significant contribution made by an individual. I am pleased to present this award to Rachael Griffin in recognition of her long-term services to the Taxation Committee and her overall support and contribution to AILO and the industry as a whole over many years.”
