The Fry Group has announced that Gary Smithson has joined its team of advisers as Financial Planning Consultant.
Smithson, pictured left, joins the company’s Singapore offices following 11 years at International Financial Services bringing nearly 20 years’ experience of retirement, tax and pension planning, in both the UK and Singapore
David Pugh, director, The Fry Group Singapore, said that he was “thrilled” to have Smithson join the business in Singapore.
“His experience and understanding of working with expatriates, as well as his values around client service and transparency makes him very well-suited to our approach and philosophy,” said Pugh.
Smithson, previously acted as senior manager and professional trustee at audit, account, tax and advisory firms, as well as advising private and SME clients on Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS) and Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs).
He said that The Fry Group’s “standards in advice, transparency and client servicing” alongside its recent partnership with Independent Strategic Group and their joint venture, Purple Asset Management, made it a “hugely compelling business” that he is “thrilled” to be joining.
